Andrew Anglin is Founder of The Daily Stormer, a White supremacist media website.

Born and raised in the town of Worthington, Ohio just north of Columbus, Angling grew up in a town where he is remembered simply as, Andy. As a child, he attended Calumet Christian School in Clintonville, Ohio.

He attended and received his high school diploma from Linworth Alternative Program, a high school where students design their own learning projects. Anglin spent his high school years dabbling in liberal politics. He became a fascist after reading Noam Chomsky, exploring “all that Communist Jewish stuff,” and studying religion, including Islam and Buddhism, eventually arriving at Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini.

His high school classmates say Anglin was an outspoken liberal and vegan who sported dreadlocks and JNCO pants. Anglin, who was once known to speak out against racism and homophobia, was also prone to violent tantrums including one alleged incident during a party in high school where he repeatedly bashed his head on a sidewalk outside. Former classmates also recalled Anglin’s bedroom walls being dented from other tantrums involving head slamming.

Throughout his early 20s, Anglin spent some time living and working in Southeast Asia predominantly as an English teacher in South Korea. During this time, Anglin traveled throughout Asia and engaged in activities that took place in nature. He often went backpacking, rock climbing, motorcycling, and diving - a lot of adventure activities.

During his days in Asia, Angling posted a video on his youtube where he says that the girl he is dating is jailbait - that is, below the age of consent.

When users on the internet saw the video, they began to accuse Andrew of being a serial child molester.

Anglin became very active on 4chan, which inspired him to launch a site called "Total Fascism" dedicated to long-form essays on fascism. Not long after, on July 4, 2013, the Daily Stormer was formed as a revamp of Total Fascism. The site, originally registered to Anglin's father, Greg, is named for Nazi Julius Streicher’s anti-Semitic weekly newspaper, Der Stürmer, which specialized in pornographic attacks on Jews. (Streicher was hanged after being convicted of war crimes at Nuremberg.)

Anglin says he was never interested in politics until Donald Trump ran for President. “If The Donald gets the nomination, he will almost certainly beat Hillary, as White men such as you and I go out and vote for the first time in our lives for the one man who actually represents our interests,” Anglin wrote in 2015.

In August 2017, Anglin wrote an article disparaging Heather Heyer, a victim in the Charlottesville, Virginia Unite the Right counter protests. The article resulted in GoDaddy and Google dropping his site.

As a kid in elementary school, Anglin never thought that he would become a Neo Nazi, but he claims that he does what he does because it needs to be done.
