Andile Ramaphosa (Age 38 Years Old) is the firstborn son of the president of the Republic of South Africa.
Personal life
He is the son of the South African president, Cyril Ramaphosa and Dr. Tshepo Motsepe, the first lady of South Africa. Andile is a brother to two sisters, Mashudu and Keneilewe (Kiki), and a half-sister. Cyril had Andile’s half-sister, Tulisa, with his late wife.
Relationship
Andile Ramaphosa is married to Bridget Birungi, a beautiful Uganda woman daughter, Amama Mbabazi, former Ugandan Prime Minister. She is well educated as she obtained a Master’s degree in engineering. The couple met about ten years before they had their wedding.
Education
Andile attended the University of Cape Town and studied accounting and statistics from 2001 to 2005. He went for his master’s in economics at Fudan University (2007-2009).
Due to love for knowledge, he obtained a master’s in Global Finance.
Andile got this degree from two institutions including the University of Hong Kong of Science and Technology and the NYU Stern School of Business.
Controversy
In 2019, Andile was involved in a scandal that came with trouble for not him alone but his father, Cyril Ramaphosa. According to News 21, Andile had a connection with Bosasa, presently African Global Operations. He was given a huge sum of money from the company amounting to about R2million.
The money was paid to his company Blue Crane Capital and according to him, “he was taken advantage of and at that time, he was very naïve”.
His campaign managers speedily returned the money as soon as they couldn’t verify its source.
Cyril Ramaphosa, on the other hand, was harsh on his son, Andile.
The president went further to say that if Andile was guilty and involved in this matter, he will assist bring him to justice.
