Early Life & Education
Moreno was born and raised in California.
She graduated from El Dorado High School in Placentia. She also lived in Fresno.
She earned her Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California. [1]
Career
Amy Moreno's broadcasting career started in February 1999 when she became a reporter and news anchor for WBKP-TV. Later that year, she took a job with the KMPH-TV, a Fox-affiliated news station.
Her first long-term position came in 2000, when she worked as a reporter for CBS-affiliated station KGPE; she filled in as a news anchor sporadically. She reported there until August 2008.
From 2008 to 2011, Moreno joined Tribune Broadcasting, working for Q13 FOX. Although she focused on enterprising neighborhood stories, she also traveled to Haiti to cover the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake. She also contributed to Washington’s Most Wanted Public Affairs Show.
On October 13, 2011, Amy joined the KING 5 team. She has since received numerous awards, including a nomination for "Reporter of the Year" from the Associated Press TV & Radio Association. [1]
Personal Life
She enjoys watching sports and has become a fan of the Seattle Seahawks. She has also remained loyal to the USC Trojans since graduating from her alma mater. [1]
