Amy Hockert is one of America’s best-known and loved journalists. She works at KMSP FOX 9 as a special projects reporter and news anchor. Before joining KMSP-TV, she was working as a journalist at BringMeTheNews.[1]
Personal Life
Amy Hockert was born to an interracial family with a mixture of American and Korean descent. Her mother came to the United States at 18 years of age from Korea with nothing but just her bag with clothes. She taught herself English by watching daytime soaps. Amy’s mother went through hardship at the beginning when she was raising her and her siblings. She was born and raised in Minnesota alongside her twin sister Jamy and her brother Daniel. [2]
Amy Hockert is grateful for all her mother had gone through while raising them and always acknowledges her on her Instagram more so on mother’s day.

Amy Hockert started his/her career at KARE TV as a news anchor in 2002 until 2008.
She took a break from active media and came back in May 2013 joining BringMeTheNews.
While at BMTN, she oversee all things editorial for BringMeTheNews.com, its radio network, and all its social media platforms as the Chief Content Officer. [5]
Amy later joined KMSP FOX 9 as a news anchor and special projects reporter in January 2015.
Amy worked at various TV stations for years before joining KMSP-TV in Minneapolis. She took an eight year break from reporting and anchoring to start and raise her family. Amy works alongside Kendall Mark and Tom Lyden at Fox 9.[6]
Marital Life
Amy Hockert is happily married to Chris.
The couple celebrated their 11th anniversary on 16th July 2019 with her family including her children.
They met in 2006 and begun dating until they got married in 2008.
Chris and Amy are blessed with two children: daughter Elise and son Christian.
She loves having adventures and fun as a family such as watching games on stadiums and traveling.
Amy gives her followers a little pick of her family’s fun moments on her social media accounts.
Their son Christian earned the black belt in Karate with his father.
They own two dogs called Bennet and Henry and added a cat called Oliver.
