Amer Mongogna is a 20 year-old man from Detroit accused of murdering Luke Filary at a graduation party in Roseville, Michigan. ^[0]

As of yet, it is unknown the origins of Amer, and whether he's an American citizen, but he has lived in Detroit, Michigan. ^{[6] [1]}According to several news sources, Amer is from a neighborhood called Eastpointe, which was once considered East Detroit. ^[0]

On his Social media profile, Facebook, he has shared photos of himself visiting the Los Angeles, California area with his profile photo taken at the Santa Monica Pier. His profile also has a few of his friends asking where he is. ^[6]

In early Sunday morning, on August 6th, 2017, just hours before the party had started, Amer and a group of his friends crashed a party and were told to leave.

^[4]Moments later, Amer returned to the party and made threats to the guests, brandishing his pistol.

^[0]There are numerous reports of his assault toward others who were present.

He proceeded to let out several gunshots directed at the crowd and hit Luke Filary. ^[0]Amer then took off from the scene. ^[4]

After an investigation, Amer was found and taken into custody.

^[4]On Wednesday August 9th, 2017, he had an arraignment where he was denied bond.
