Amber Bobo is the 26 year old girlfriend of Michael Disporto. She had a two year old daughter, Ariana with her previous boyfriend Rob. Amber lived in Gloucester, New Jersey.

Allegations

Amber Bobo was involved in her boyfriend Michael Disporto's murder and sexual assault of her almost two year old daughter Ariana.

Investigators say Amber Bobo knew about the serious injuries Disporto gave her daughter Ariana but did not seek medical attention or call authorities until seven hours after she discovered the abuse.

On July 7, 2016 Amber Bobo was arrested and charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Her boyfriend Michael Disporto was charged with first degree murder and first degree sexual assault.

Ariana's grandfather had said 'The condition of my granddaughters little body was damaged and destroyed so badly that in terms of describing the condition of her body is that of a 20 pound baby being struck by a speeding car."

He also said 'This attack being done with hands and feet and then her little lifeless body was left for hours and hours and hours before receiving medical attention.

Investigation

The actual circumstances in which the toddler died is still under investigation.

On July 2, 2016 Amber Bobo picked up her daughter Ariana from the daughter's biological father, Rob.

That night, Michael, who had only been dating Amber for two weeks, took the child to a nearby park because 'he wanted to get to know her better', according to a police statement. The pair returned after 15 minutes. Later that night Michael took the child out to watch fireworks.

On July 3, 2016, at 7 a.m Amber said that she found her daughter was not sleeping in her bed, but on the couch where Michael had been staying. Amber saw bruises on both sides of the child’s forehead. When she asked Michael about the bruises he initially denied knowing anything about them, then claimed that the child fell. While Amber, wanted to take the child to the hospital, Michael talked her out of it.

At around 11am when Amber prepared her daughter Ariana for a bath she found bruises on her back and genitals.

After questioning Michael again he convinced Amber not to take the child to the hospital, by saying he was worried about what people would think of the bruises.

Around lunch the couple took the child to a Deptford mall in a hat Amber said was to conceal the bruises, where she began vomiting.

B y 3pm, the three were back at Amber's home where the child continued to be sick.

After going out on a shopping expedition for a second time, the child was found to be completely motionless by 6pm.

'Bobo told Disporto she wanted to take A.S. (Ariana) to the hospital,' the statement reads.

'Disporto opined that Ariana was "just tired".'

When Amber insisted on making sure her child was okay, Disporto said, "I’m never going to see you again."

Amber Bobo finally called 911 at 6:04 p.m, more than seven hours after she found out about her almost two year old daughter's injuries.

The child was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where she was diagnosed with a subdural hemorrhage and cerebral edema, requiring immediate brain surgery, according to the statement.

She had bilateral bruising and swelling to her labia, a complete fracture of her right humerus, bilateral pulmonary contusions and urine and blood in her abdomen.

In examinations at noon and 6 p.m. the next day, she had no brain activity.

Life support was cut off and she was pronounced dead at 6:26 p.m.A later exam found her cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.
