Amaka Ubaka is an American News Anchor for 7News in New England.

Early Life and Career

Amaka attended the University of Miami.After graduation, Amaka Ubaka went to KRCR ABC 7 in 2010 and started working as General Assignment Reporter.However, she left her job and moved to WOWT NBC Omaha in December.There she worked as the General Assignment Reporter and covered the 2012 Olympic swim trials.[2]

She joined 7News as a reporter in May, 2016.Before

that she was a reporter in Orlando, Florida, in Omaha, Nebraska and in Redding, California.She has

also been nominated for an Emmy twice for her role as a morning News Anchor at 7News Boston.

Personal Life

A Florida native, she has fully embraced living in New England!Amaka

enjoys going to Celtics, Patriots, and Red Sox games and she’s learning how to ski.She loves

meeting new people and learning their stories.She’s served as

emcee for several charity events including for Project Hope, a Boston non-profit working to move families out of poverty.[7]

When she’s not working you’ll find Amaka in the gym and taking Spanish classes.She

received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Miami.[7]
