Career
Currently, Alix Steel is the co-anchor of "Bloomberg Daybreak Americas," Bloomberg’s flagship morning show focused on the important financial and global news of the day. Steel also anchors the weekly show "Bloomberg Commodities Edge," a thirty minute program dedicated to the biggest names and news in the commodity world.[4][10]
Previously, she was an anchor of Bloomberg Markets and co-host of "What’d You Miss?", Bloomberg TV’s flagship markets program which airs weekdays from 4:00-4:30pm.
Prior to joining Bloomberg in February 2012, Steel was a senior multimedia reporter, anchor, and producer for TheStreet, where she focused on global markets. Steel also co-anchored a live trading show, "Morning Call," for TheStreet and T3Live.com.
Steel has interviewed numerous influential business leaders including Sam Zell, Ken Langone, Gary Cohn, Lloyd Blankfein, James Gorman, Lynn Good of Duke Energy, and most oil and gas CEOs in the business.[10]
Steel has multiple Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW) Award nominations.[10]
Education
Alix graduated cum laude from Northwestern University majoring in communications. [3] She has also studied business journalism at New York University.[10]

Personal Life
Alix is married to Craig Pospisil.[8] The couple has a daughter Dillon. Steel and Pospisil baptized their daughter. They held a nonreligious ceremony in Prospect Park in Brooklyn and invited only their closest friends. Steel chose her goddaughters to be Dillon’s godmothers - marking the fourth generation of godparent action between their two families. Dillon’s godfather is her husband’s godson.[11]
