She was born in Florida. Alex Denis attend the University of South Florida where she graduated and obtained a degree in Mass Communication degree.

Alex Denis started her journalism career in Florida, where she work at WFTS – Tampa and then at WJHG in Panama City. She is a multiple award winning journalist, and best know for dishing out information in a positive ways. Before joining WKRN-TV, Alex has spent over 8 years at WCBS in New York City.
