Alberto Testa (Criminologist)

Alberto Testa is an Italian Criminologist and he is internationally renown for his study of Far-right extremism. Testa uses a challenging but effective research methodology namely Ethnography and Cyber-ethnography. His last work was funded by the International Organization for Migration-United Nations and the United States Agency for International Development. The ethnographic work aimed to contact extremists groups ( Ultras ) operating in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Terraces.

Career

Alberto Testa started his/her career at Brunel University London (London) in 2009; Alberto is a currently a Professor of Applied Criminology at the University of West London. As a Behavioural Scientist, Alberto Testa is interested in the role that unconscious processes play in individuals’ decisions and (deviant) behaviours.

He is also a specialist in Forensic interviewing and Applied behavior analysis aiming to detect deception and Cyber threat intelligence gathering and analysis.

Honours

In July 2021, Alberto Testa was elected Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland.
