Dr. Albert Yu-Min Lin is a Research Scientist at the University of California, San Diego and an Emerging Explorer of the National Geographic Society in the field of technology enabled exploration. [1]
Career
In 2009, Albert became a Research Scientist at University of California, San Diego. Since 2014, he has been a Co-founder and Chief Science Officer of Planet3, an exploration-based learning company. In addition, Albert is a Board Member of HBS Digital Initiative, National Geographic Society and DigitalGlobe Foundation.[12]
Albert is one of the creators of Lost Cities with Albert Lin, premiered on National Geographic on October 21, 2019. The program combines hi-tech archaeology, breath-taking visuals and genuine exploration to make headline-grabbing discoveries.[14]
Education
In 2008, Albert received a Doctor of Philosophy in Material Science and Engineering from University of California, San Diego.[12]
