Al norte del corazón

Al norte del corazón

Al norte del corazón was a Mexican Soap opera produced for TV Azteca in 1997, by Rubén Galindo and Santiago Galindo. It starred Anette Michel and Jorge Luis Pila, with the antagonistic participation of Danna García, Fernando Ciangherotti and Aline Hernández.[1]

Synopsis

The love of Angela Medina and Jose Francisco Reyes begins during their Adolescence, it is a pure and clean love that grows with them as time goes by. However, this idyll is overshadowed by Rafael Treviño, who in his eagerness to possess Angela, coldly murders her parents: Sebastian and Marina.

Matías, Ángela's godfather, knows Rafael's Intentions, so he takes Ángela out of town to leave her in an orphanage. Nobody, except Jovita and Matías, knows that Ángela survived the fateful attack. Ten years pass before Ángela returns to the village to meet again with an extremely painful past. Full of questions and unresolved doubts, she settles down in what is now known as "Tres Cruces", the name given to the town because of the three crosses located in the Medina family's Grave. Both Jovita and Matias insist that he hide his identity, because they know that when Rafael discovers it, he will do everything possible to conquer it.

Angela and José Francisco cannot hide the attraction they feel.

Not knowing that she is the woman for whom he has been crying for ten years, José Francisco falls in love with her again, formalizing a courtship that he has never wanted to accept with Eloísa, Rafael's daughter.

In an atmosphere of passions, intrigues, racial struggles and injustices towards the Undocumented, the rest of the story unfolds, without Angela and José Francisco managing to be together, always persecuted by the sinister Rafael Treviño... [2]
