Ahu Ozyurt is a CNN Türk Editor, Anchor 10'Dan Sonrası and Hürriyet Daily News Columnist.
Career
Between 2007-2009 Ahu worked as the Washington Correspondent of CNN Türk and Milliyet Newspaper of Turkey. Prior to coming to Washington DC, Ozyurt was the 11:00 pm anchor of CNN Türk's show "Night Vision" (2003- 006) and lunchtime anchor of CNN Türk's show "Business Lunch" (2006-2007). She also worked at NTV and CNBCe as anchor and reporter (1998-2003). Between 1993-97 she also traveled extensively to Iran, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Israel as Show TV's Ankara correspondent. Ms. Ozyurt has been specializing on International Affairs, energy issues and financial crises. She was one of the leading anchors of CNBCe in Turkey covering the financial crisis in Turkey and its political ramifications. She also reported live for CNN International on Synagogue and HSBC Bombings in Istanbul, the Hrant Dink assassination and the recent incident outside the US Consulate. She has written occasional op-eds in Radikal newspaper's much popular Sunday Edition, Radikal 2 and Turkish Daily News. Her book on the Obama Presidential campaigned chronicled the primary and the Presidential Elections while volunteering with grassroots organisations. "Obama: A Perfect Storm" was published in Turkey in October 2008.
