Adam Ashley Warren (born February 18, 1980) is a French-Canadian freelance web developer and graphic designer who specializes in custom interactive web graphics creating responsive, interactive and dynamic graphics for websites.
Born in the Township of Chapleau which is situated within the Boreal forest and Arctic Watershed Region of Northern Ontario Canada. Chapleau is best known for being the home of the world's largest Crown Game Preserve, as well as being the 2011 winners of WFN's Ultimate Fishing Town Canada contest. Warren is a descendant of the de Warenne family who were a noble family in England that included the first Earls of Surrey, created by William the Conqueror in 1088 for William de Warenne, 1st Earl of Surrey, who was among his companions at the Battle of Hastings. The family originated from Scandinavian Viking settlers in Normandy and as Earls, held land there and throughout England. The Warenne family derived their toponymic surname from the village of Varenne , river Varenne, near Arques-la-Bataille, Duchy of Normandy, now in the canton of Bellencombre, Seine Maritime.
Growing up in a small isolated community had early-on given Warren a passion to travel and learn more about the world beyond the 60th parallel north.
Warren attended Notre Dame Des Grands Lacs (N.D.G.L) secondary school but did not acquire a diploma until many years later, when he graduated with honors and was awarded the Governor General's Academic Medal for graduating with the highest standing in his institution but not before enrolling in the Canadian Armed Forces in 1999, where he completed a contract as a Gunner with the 49th Field Artillery Regiment, RCA. He was later honorably discharged and moved to Toronto Ontario Canada where he worked for the United Transportation Union (U.T.U) as an Administrative Assistant.
Warren worked a variety of jobs often as a server and/or bartender traveling often from one end of Canada to the other. He worked in open pit mining as a heavy equipment operator for 5 years in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario before taking his web and graphics hobby seriously.
Looking to make a name for himself in the competitive world of web development he would eventually find work as a pre-press specialist and graphical designer with AG Event Graphics, a large-format printing company in Point Edward near Sarnia, Ontario. During his time with AG Event Graphics Warren designed car wraps, billboards and various types of signage and other graphics.
Warren has developed and maintained a variety of small business websites and created interactive web animations. He currently works as a freelancer web developer, graphic designer and artist and often goes by his business name Atomica on social media. Warren also does portraits, concept art and custom illustrations for web, book covers and children's books.
