Biography

Mustapha Farrakhan was born to Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and his wife Khadijah, the first of 9 children.[4]

Farrakhan is a part-time police officer in Harvey, Illinois, a Chicago suburb.[5] The job gives him a police badge, allows him to drive a city-owned unmarked police car[6][7] and permits him to carry a concealed weapon in places where it would otherwise be illegal.[8] Most of his police work involved using the car to provide unofficial motorcades for his father, and block traffic to enable him to pass through intersections.[8]

Farrakhan serves as Supreme Captain of the Nation of Islam.[9] He is considered his father's potential successor as Nation of Islam leader.[7][3][10]

Personal life

Farrakhan is the father of Mustapha Farrakhan, Jr., a professional basketball player.[11] He lives in Crete, Illinois.[12][13]
