Juliet Aykroyd is a British actor and writer.
She is best known for her TV appearances as Thelma's colleague Anthea in *Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads? * (1974), and as Linda in *Open All Hours * (1976). [1] [2] One of Aykroyd's earliest appearances on stage was in Hang Down Your Head and Die (1963), with future Monty Python stars Michael Palin and Terry Jones. [3]
Work away from acting
As well as appearances on stage and screen Aykroyd has worked as a tutor and director at RADA. She has written plays and poetry, and produced a student guide on how to act in a Shakespeare production. In 2013 she wrote Darwin & Fitzroy, a play charting the working relationship between Charles Darwin and Captain Fitzroy on the famous voyage on HMS Beagle. [4] [5] [6] [7]
