3Commas - Get Maximum Profit from Trading
In November 2020, Sam Bankman-Fried’s Alameda Research invested $3 million in 3Commas.[9]
Overview
3Commas was founded in Tallinn, Estonia in 2017 by Yuriy Sorokin, Egor Razumovskii and Mikhail Goryunov. Since its inception, 3Commas became the leading non-custodial trade automation platform in crypto and now services over 100,000 users on all major exchanges with aggregate trading volumes exceeding $12 billion in 2020. 3Commas offers a complete suite of manual or fully automated bots and trading strategies as well as risk and portfolio management solutions, all underpinned by a vast, low-latency cloud infrastructure.[7] 3Commas trading bot currently works with approximately 12 exchanges including Coinbase, GDAX, Binance, Bitfinex, and Huobi.
3Commas Smart Trade feature allows users to customize and set their own parameters in entering and exiting trade positions.
The feature is enabled by derivatives-specific bots, freeing traders from the need to constantly watch over their positions and execute trades manually every time.
3Commas has a marketplace integrated with TradingView’s technical indicators. This option is to let users easily find trading signals that fit their risk appetite, which they can put to use whenever setting their own triggers and conditions for automated trading functions.[6]
In November 2020, in a press release from 3Commas.io, it was announced that Alameda Research, the company behind FTX and ProjectSerum, invested a total of $3 million in 3Commas from its first funding round. According to 3Commas, the funding that they received from investors will be used to improve their digital asset trade automation and portfolio management technology. It will also help them in their plan to introduce new financial products, integrate with DeFi (Decentralized Finance), and open the platform to more asset classes.[6]
