History

NoDak Spud LLC was founded by Harlan Ekre on 09/16/2005 in Edina, Minnesota when Federal Arms Corp, the company he worked for, declared bankruptcy.

With Dan Coonan Industries's manufacturing license, Ekre began to make and sell AK receivers.

Nodak Spud eventually moved to its own facility ^[1] ^[2].
