Set in a junkyard jungle of claw-smack banjo, loud guitar, vocal anomalies, melodica, and an orchestra of garbage percussion and broken appliances, Wishbone Zoe delivers a mighty caterwaul of sound for a very quiet voice.
She traverses the world with a looper pedal and a banjo, twisting dreams of neuron carnivals and grinning moon creatures, sprinkling liquid mercury and glitter into saturated sampled sounds, and generally throwing concerned glances at the not-so-okay in the world.
In the past, she's shared bills with the likes of the Suitcase Junket, Arc Iris, And The Kids, Bella's Bartok, Heather Maloney, Girl in a Coma, and Rushad Eggleston (Tornado Rider, Crooked Still). She's played hundreds of shows over the past four years including Club Passim (Cambridge MA), Signature Sounds' Parlor Room (Northampton MA), Ladyfest (MA), Melodica Fest (NYC), Harvard Square Folk Fest (MA), Harvard Square Oktoberfest (MA)
As well as spinning and manipulating sounds out of thin air,
WZ creates tangible, visual things as well. Her work can be seen at
and oftentimes out in the world, too
