Two Cent Sam continues to push the boundaries of rock, by combining the endearing qualities of classic Brit Invasion song writing, with an accessible modern sound. The group formed in late 2008 and has consistently advanced themselves in the tough New York market.
The group's debut EP, "Give & Take World" was released in late 2009. The 6 song exploration showcased singer Michael Logiudice's ability to craft catchy hooks against simple chord changes. Keyboardist Dan Hodgkinson's contributions can be heard on the swinging "Work it Out", and the local favorite, "The OBI Song". The band toured the New York area to promote this album in 2010, with a highlight performance at the legendary Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, NY.
In late 2010, the band went back into the studio and emerged 9 months later with a 13 song epic called "Songs from the Sandbox". This well crafted album showcases Two Cent Sam's evolution as serious performers, and explores the vocal range of Logiudice, as well as the careful chops of new drummer Pete Bienkowski. The final product was a careful collaboration among the members with great attention to detail and ensuring a professional product.
The five-piece is currently based in New York and performs regularly around the Tri-State Area. [+]
