Tunlan's management is made up of individuals from diverse backgrounds ranging from successful entrepreneurs to former upper management from Alibaba to other Fortune 500 companies. The firm has established multiple funds such as the "Fengyun Zheshang" VC funds, regional funds, PE M&A funds, oversee M&A funds as well as invest in startups including Canaan, Sun Harmonics, Xinfeng, Asunistar, Baizijian, and Tecenet.
In April 2018, Tunlan Investment launched a $1.6 billion fund to invest in Blockchain 2.0 startups. $400 million of the fund comes from the Hangzhou city government. The fund has been called the Xiong'An Global Blockchain Innovation Fund.
Xu Xiaoping - founder of Zhenfund, a venture capital firm that has invested in blockchain projects such as Stream and Lino - is an advisor. Li Xiaolai, a notable blockchain investor and bitcoin tycoon in China, is manager of the fund.
