Tony Ballioni is an administrator of English Wikipedia. A devout catholic, he has contributed to numerous articles, a featured list, and is pretty much the de facto coordinator for Wikipedia's New Page Patrol. He has ranked up more than 36,000 edits on the English Wikipedia as of August 2018.
Ballioni has been accused by Gender Desk of leading a rogue group of Wikipedia administrators to implement a rule change whereby users who have been blocked and then caught using sockpuppets are banned indefinitely from the community. Termed three strikes, this rule is supposed to cut bureaucracy.
As he is the of the leader Wikipedia New Page Patrol. Gender Desk has also noted Ballioni supporting the introduction of a rule whereby only users with autoconfirmed status are allowed to make new pages and argued that the motivation behind this being to move work from the New Page Patrol to the Articles For Creation project. Gender Desk also alleges that he has mocked new users and used threats.
