The Blue Roots began as a trio in 2012 and has since evolved into a sextet that embraces the stylistic and rhythmic elements of hip-hop whilst simultaneously rooting itself in traditional jazz language. The Experiment was added to the name when lyricist Jordan Clark joined in September 2013. Equally influenced by both JDilla and Dizzy Gillespie, we are creating never before heard sounds and hope to spread them across the globe.

We attempt to continuously make a kind of music that makes your soul soar from sound. Taking patterns of drum circles from ancient trees, to jazz on city streets, to Funk found in underground clubs that keeps people dancing through the night.
