From the mid-sized burg of Lawrence, Massachusetts, best known as the short lived home of poet Robert Frost hails a refreshingly vocal and songwriting driven band, The Romano Project. Formed by gifted songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Eddie Romano after three years with his previous project, the popular northeast group The Change Up. Eddie Romano enlisted former Change Up drummer John Elliott, and his longtime friend and gifted bass player Chris Taillon. One could almost look to Eddie and John's tenure in The Change Up as analogous to a baseball player being promoted from the farm leagues to the big time.

Since their auspicious debut at Harry's Hoedown in Starks ME, the band has racked up miles and miles of hard earned respect from fellow musicians ranging from Melvin Seals and the Jerry Garcia Band to Rustic Overtones as well as music fans across the east coast. People that saw us said that they could "feel" the fun we were having on stage" recounts drummer John Elliott.

The Romano Project and their shared common musical vision have demonstrated a phenomenal rise in regional and nationwide notoriety due in no small part to the band's infectiously brash rapid fire vocals ala G Love woven into repeating rhythms reminiscent of British alt-rock heavyweights The Happy Mondays. Adding a strong sense of melody that eschews musical complexity in favor of songs that highlight a songwriting style that more closely mimics The Beatles early pop minimalism. "The Romano Project is fueled by simplicity, emotionally charged music, and lyrics."
The promising young band continues to demonstrate their trademark simple music hooks and slow build of chords and vocals that culminate into intoxicatingly infectious sing-alongs. [+]
