Matty B and the Del Christies are fresh on the Chicago rockabilly scene—playing vintage rock n' roll, jukebox-pounding rockabilly and tidal wave-inducing surf from the late 50's and early 60's—all with a twist.
Named after a venerable mashup of Del Shannon and Lou Christie (The Del Christies - cool, eh?) the band mixes Decca-era Buddy Holly, adds two parts 80's Stray Cats, stirs in some early 60s Zombie tunes for a kick, and drenches the whole she'bang with Los Straitjackets-style surf. The end result is a powerful potion that tantalizes ear buds of all generations with everything from "All Shook Up" to "Rock This Town."
Based in the Chicago suburbs of Naperville ("the 'Ville" for you hipsters), the band is comprised of Matty B (lead vocals), Nate Adams (guitar) and Mark Manzo (drums) — three musicians who preserve the integrity of each vintage number they perform — all while adding a modern-day twist with dragstrip-worthy twang and rumble-inducing beats.
Looking to bring a good dose of vintage rock n' roll to your venue or next event? Matty B and the Del Christies can transform any venue into a vintage party—from the coolest corner bars to the hottest corporate events.
