Musical visionaries Stefanie August and Michael Husser comprise "The A.H. Factor". Blending various genres of “Old School” songs styling’s in their original work, the group also performs an extensive repertoire of the Great American Songbook including Blues, Country, Pop, and Classic Rock.
Bassist Michael D. Husser has played with Little Richard, Elvin Bishop, Harvey Mandel, Buffy Sainte-Marie, The Drifters, The Coasters, The Shirelles, Norton Buffalo, Nick Gravenites, Barry Goldberg and other artists. Michael has been playing electric bass since 1964 and still uses his Jazz Fender aptly named “Old Man” who is 48 years young! Michael plays with a style and confidence that are all his own; creating unique riffs and melodic structures not usually applied when playing electric bass. His rich Irish-Tenor singing voice can cover a range of styles from Blues to Country to Great American Swing. A consummate performer and musician dedicated to his craft and helping other musicians achieve their personal best; Michael is a tour de force on and off stage!
Stefanie August is a gifted vocalist, pianist and song-writer. Her sultry three-octave vocal range and tasteful piano styling add depth and imagination to her varied and vast repertoire. Stefanie’s professional performance career began in 1980 when she became the cocktail hour vocalist at famed Jazz room, Gregory’s, in NYC. She was a protégée of Jan Wallman, a NYC Jazz club operator and raconteur who was influential in developing the careers of Barbara Streisand and Joel Grey. A graduate of the University of Bridgeport, CT, Stefanie holds a Bachelor of Music cum laude. Stefanie has worked extensively in music venues around the country and has operated her own entertainment production companies. Her collaboration with Michael is a pinnacle in an exciting musical career.
