Taken Aces 2015 Artist Biography

Raw, powerful, and pure unadulterated hard rock, Taken Aces hit the music scene fast and
furious in 2014. Quickly catching the attention of both listeners and industry professionals with
their monumental sound, the brand new group has the substantial and elusive combination of
truly strong and authentic rock vocals, impressive musicianship, ambition, and an electrifying
stage presence.
The members of the charismatic 5 piece powerhouse made their impact in 2014 when they
were accepted into the Detroit Live Magazine “Blow Up My Band” competition, ultimately
winning the long, multi-leveled contest against a legion of up-and-coming Detroit talent. Taken
Aces appears on the February 2015 cover of Detroit Live Magazine, as well as being awarded
a spot at the Uncle Sam Jam in Woodhaven. Significant achievements for a new band, this
speaks to their dynamic sound and energetic live performances.
Developing a cache of extraordinary new song material alongside internationally known
producer/engineer Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Trust Company, Soundgarden) and recording at
the renowned Pearl Sound Studios in Canton, Michigan, the group is creating an explosive
debut EP that showcases the band’s considerable vocal, lyrical, and musical talent. Passionate,
intense, driving and melodic, Taken Aces is a highly entertaining group of artists that have the
talent, drive, determination and style to ascend to the top, and their producer Chuck Alkazian
has quoted “Never in my over two decades of producing have I come across a band that has
this vague, intangible familiarity that immediately draws you in, but plays with such huge
intensity that it creates something brand new. Great things ahead.”
Taken Aces, originally founded in December 2014 by Adam and Tanner Hetchler, who along
with Jon Neville had been musicians in the greater Detroit area for the past eight years, were
seeking to work towards their mutual artistic goals of forming a hard rock band that had the
ability to reach the upper echelons of music. They achieved what turned out to be the ideal
chemistry when they added the like-minded forces of Alex Orlando and Tom Harper to the
group. Taken Aces is Adam Hetchler on vocals, Tom Harper on bass, Jon Neville on lead
guitar, Tanner Hetchler on drums, and Alex Orlando on rhythm guitar.
Taken Aces is prepared to reveal their new music to fans of rock everywhere, and will expand
their live show schedule to introduce their sound to the masses as they push forward into the
remainder of 2015 and beyond!
