Steve Mollenkopf began his career at Qualcomm in 1994 as an Engineer. During these years he helped to define and implement Qualcomm's strategy and technologies. Besides, he serves on the company's Board of directors.
Prior to getting positions of President and COO, Steve was responsible for the company's chipset busines. With his help, Qualcomm became the world's largest mobile chipset supplier and a global leader in LTE technology. 
In addition, Steve served as Executive Vice President and Group President from September 2010 to November 2011, as Executive Vice President and President of QCT from August 2008 to September 2010, as Executive Vice President, QCT Product management from May 2008 to August 2008, as Senior Vice president, Engineering and Product management from July 2006 to May 2008 and as Vice president, Engineering from April 2002 to July 2006.
Steve Mollenkopf is a published IEEE author and holds seven patents in areas such as Power estimation and management, multi-standard transmitters, and wireless communication transceiver technology. Steve is also a Chairman of the Technology CEO Council, a Board member for the Semiconductor Industry Association, and a former Chairman of the Global Semiconductor Alliance.
