Society of Broken Souls is the Folk Noir duo of Dennis James and Lauryn Shapter. Husband and wife song writers with a unique roots-based sound, they write and perform unflinching songs for fearless hearts.

While Society of Broken Souls is a new project for them, over the previous decade, they recorded two albums, composed a soundtrack to a film, and toured as the acoustic duo, Truckstop Souvenir. As their writing took on a new direction and they began to expand their sound by way of gritty electric guitars, drums, and piano, Society of Broken Souls came to be.
