Surrounded on all sides by groups emulating the latest "indie" band to get published in a commercial, Sean stands equipped with his '82 Epiphone Spirit electric, Laguna acoustic/electric and his crooning baritone voice. His band, his gang, Lucky City, backing him up with Egan Ammerman (of MINTS, Umojah Nation) on keys and Jason Seich (of League of Proper Musicians) on drums. Benjamin's been compared to Dean Martin, Peter Gabriel, Damien Rice and G. Love and Special Sauce in the same breath, so when it comes to genres, he looks at them the way you might look at tax brackets.
Sean's a road warrior, who loves playing in any far away city possible. He's toured in the United Kingdom and across the eastern half of the United States, with a heavy concentration on college towns, festivals and his native Ohio.
After his breakthrough appearance on Sirius XM's Opie and Anthony Show, Benjamin was discovered by producer and show regular Dru Boogie to bring you a one-of-a-kind epic 24-track album blending Sean's acoustic soul songwriting with Dru's club DJ production, in the setting of an old-school progressive rock album.
He's also released solo acoustic recordings including his "Live in Columbus 2009" album and countless acoustic YouTube videos from shows, and right in his apartment.
Sean has shared the stage with amazing bands such as The Goo Goo Dolls, The Whigs, The Features, Gin Blossoms, Howie Day, Mickey Avalon, Better than Ezra, Millionaires, deSol, Hey Monea!, Red Wanting Blue, Spill Canvas, and Switchfoot. [+]
