Saralise is an innovative thinker who is always hungry to achieve and loves working in fast paced environments. She is a young professional with a “get-it-done” attitude, while still embracing her artistic and creative abilities. As a teenager, Saralise expressed her creative side by learning various styles of dance, technical cake decorating and writing poetry. In 2007, she graduated from the University of Guyana with a BSc in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and worked in the RandD department of an ice cream manufacturer. The products which resulted from her work are currently available on the local market as a premium ice cream. However, Saralise knew she wanted to expand life’s opportunities by furthering her studies. In 2008, she was granted a scholarship to join a truly international cohort of students of varying technical backgrounds at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. RPI, a highly ranked university in the US, is the oldest technological institution in the English-speaking world and takes great pride in creating leaders with an entrepreneurship and change-the-world mentality. As a student of RPI, she worked with world recognized scientists and researchers to develop business plans for the commercialization of their cutting edge technologies and gained first-hand experience with the challenges involved with taking a product from conception to the market. As a MBA intern, Ms. Ming rotated between the various departments within a local distribution company (ANSA McAL Trading Ltd) including sales, accounting/finance, marketing and administration, and was introduced to the inner workings of how big businesses operate. In 2011, she completed her MBA with a concentration in Marketing and New Product Development from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. Upon graduating, Ms. Ming returned to AMTL and was tasked with implementing and running a logistics department. She soon discovered that working in a predictable environment is comfortable but boring and that a bigger challenge was needed. In 2012, Saralise started Noodle Cake Creations as the perfect blend of her interest in science, with her love for arts and creativity and with her professional training in business. She has massive goals of pioneering a whole new world of confectionery creations and is focused on dominating the Guyanese market in the confectionery products industry and someday exporting traditional Guyanese rum cake made with a secret family recipe. She expects to tap into her RandD background for the development and manufacturing of confectionery related products which she currently imports. [+]
