Rocket Miner is a loud band from Chicago.

Guitarists and founding members Larry Hryn and Chip Wortel spent years assembling an instrumental rock group, with members coming and going almost as frequently as changes in Chicago's weather. Not until want-ads were answered by drummer Nick Biscardi and bassist Johnny Kullman did the project truly begin to take shape. The quintet was rounded out shortly thereafter by the addition of guitarist Chris Ruffolo.

Finally operating with a core group, Rocket Miner aims to take their music to the masses. Already drawing comparisons to genre staples Mogwai, Russian Circles, and Mono, their dramatic, grandiose songs are rich with dynamic layers and heavy rhythms.

The debut EP, entitled "Songs For An October Sky", is now available on Jacuzzi Suit Records.
