She has been an expert on Immigration politics in the US media and has covered the issue extensively over her years as a reporter.  She is currently the Senior Political Writer for La Opinión.

As a reporter living in Los Angeles, California, the epicenter of immigration and diversity in the U.S. West coast, She has become a voice of expertise on immigration politics; her 2012 book, Killing the American Dream: How Anti-Immigration Extremists are Destroying the Nation, chronicles 25 years of immigration policy mishaps in the United States and their consequences on the country's economic future.
