One High Five is the sound of rock ‘n roll bashing punk into an indie brick wall. Distorted guitars. Pounding drums. Blaring horns and organs. Euphonic yelling. The sonic riots that keep singer/songwriter, David Sauer, awake at night.
Listen to the debut album, Here, Hear! As a bonus, “All songs are musical experiences and the overall production is world class.” - Muse’s Muse
Here, Hear! is an explosion of creative arrangements and eclectic instrumentation. Lyrics are dedicated to the human spirit, dealing themes of exploration, perseverance, and personal challenge.
Recorded by Jim Roach and Evan Brass (Red Parade Music).
Mixed by Thom Flowers (The Ataris, Bad Astronaut)
Mastered by Pete Lyman (Mars Volta, Gogol Bordello)
“We ran around with our instruments thrashing over our heads with the ‘record’ button on. I couldn’t have been happier.” -David
The live show is loud and fun. Sometimes you get a full bombastic band with light shows and free ear candy. Sometimes you get Sauer with an acoustic guitar he bought in Hong Kong. Sometimes… that’s all you need.
