Nessa Diab (born May 6, 1981), referred to mononymously as Nessa, is an American radio and TV personality and television host.

Nessa is known for her artist and celebrity interviews on KYLD and YouTube which led to MTV seeking her out to be on Girl Code. She has additionally hosted various MTV and MTV2 shows. [3]

Personal life

Nessa is an American Muslim. She reportedly started dating Colin Kaepernick, an American football quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL), in July 2015. Kaepernick officially went public about their relationship in February 2016. [1]

Many right-wing sources have depicted her as a "Communist-sympathizing Muslim who persuaded Colin Kaepernick to stay seated throughout the National anthem." [7] Others opine that she's not brilliant enough to be meddling into Politics that isn't to her intellectual caliber. [11][12]

According to reports, before he began dating Diab, Kaepernick’s Social media didn’t show much about him except that he enjoyed playing Football and hanging out with friends, but after he began dating Diab, his social media focus has shifted to Black Nationalist and Black Lives Matter related posts. [13]

It has been noticed by Right wing reporters that 31 of his last 42 posts have strong Social justice messages as he often uses quotes from radical Nation of Islam leader Malcolm XBlack panthers founder Huey Newton, and Assata Shakur[13]

Instead Diab’s Social media account has plenty of photos and posts related to her job as a DJ but it additionally shows her stance as a black Rights activist and Islam defender. [13]
