When I was five, my parents said pick an instrument, any instrument, but you have to play.
What did I choose?
What did they give me?
Suzuki method violin.
Which five-year old self couldn't stand. So my musical endeavors became centered solely around appreciating and attending live music.
Which I finally realized was stupid.
So I picked up a guitar.
I now am the singer/song-writer of a punk/indie something band based in Charlotte called Mercury Dimes. We like to play with our distortion pedals as well as the "prettier" side of music. Dynamics and raw-edged honesty are our core.
I also play solo, acoustic gigs of original material that ranges from soft to edgy folk.
