Masjid Ibrahim is an independent American muslim organization based out of Las Vegas, NV that provides for the social, educational, and spiritual needs of the local Muslim and Interfaith community. We are committed to serving our community by promoting the values and teachings of Islam, developing charitable programs for social support, and promoting inclusion, cooperation, and understanding among Muslims and non-Muslims alike.[1]

In 1995, Las Vegas residents and real estate investors Sis. Sharaf and Bro. Syed Haseebullah purchased a nearly one acre parcel of land located on Las Vegas’ north end. Upon seeing a dilapidated and destroyed house sitting on nearly an acre of land, the duo formulated a plan to allow the house to serve as a place of religious worship for what was, at the time, only family and a few friends who lived in the area. Over the course of years, the house on the land continued to undergo renovations. In 2005, Bro. Syed passed away. It was at this time that Sis. Sharaf formulated a plan to invest her personal life savings into the land for the purposes of creating a new, state of the art mosque which will serve the needs of the Muslim community in the surrounding areas. In 2008, the mosque was named Masjid Ibrahim.[1]

In 2011, the existing house on the land was demolished. The following year, groundbreaking began for a new, state of the art, master planned 7,000+ square foot mosque. The Masjid Ibrahim is the first master planned mosque built by a woman in the United States. With no fundraising and/or community donations, Sis. Sharaf paid for the entire construction cost of the building through her own earnings and serves as an example of the notion that women can do anything. Her only request remains that the Las Vegas community benefit from the mosque. The Masjid Ibrahim will open in 2016 and will be open to the Las Vegas community.[1]
