This original concept was created by the two co-founders, Jamie Green and Dr. Michael J. Garbade.
The company initially launched in 2014. Livecoding.tv began as a startup class of Y Combinator in 2015. They launched their beta version in Feb. After which 40000 sign ups across 162 countries was reported. The main languages were Portuguese, Russian and German. The website has created projects such as games, apps, 3D printers, coding generated music.
The company has also raised funds from European Union seed grant initiative European Pioneers. It was also reported that after six months of operations. Livecoding.tv had a turnout of 700 hours of video in a day from a user base of over 60000 members.
