Lion Powda's Musical journey into Reggae began in 1999 with the Band "Big Bambu" of Buenos Aires Argentina. His friendship with founding members David Sandez (EL DEIVID), Walter "Araña" Arricau (Humanidub,Dancing Mood, Negusa, Rockadelicos) and Diego Gonzalez (Dancing Mood, Dread Mar-I) has continued to this day.
In 2000 Lion Powda's Journey to Puerto Viejo Costa Rica would inevitably change his life. Working, playing and living in a Caribbean Paradise had a profound impact on his music. Lion Powda served as lead guitarist for the Trinity Roots Band, his friendship with Trinity would prove to be very influential, with Trinity himself bestowing the name Lion Powda. Coming back to the USA, Lion Linked up with Macasea Bey and Ronnie Butler leading him down an incredible musical journey. Welcomed into the Lion and Fox Studios by Israel Vibration during the recording of Jericho, Cecil "Skelly" Spence and Lascelle "Wiss" Bulgin took Lion through Legendary Hallways. Introducing the then 21 year old Lion Powda to Jim Fox, and another reggae Legend Sly Dunbar.

Lion Powda is a former member of the Philadelphia Reggae powerhouse Axum. He was a Founding Member of The Philadelphia Roots band Moses Livingston and the Raggamuffins. Lion was a member of The Trinity Roots Band (Costa Rica), He worked with Jahricio (Costa Rica) and has done session work for other Artists such as Ras Manuel, B1, Jah Lewis, Danny Newport, and Barington Portmore,
