Raised in the woods of Ohio, a curious and explorative spirit was engrained in Lindsay at a young age. That spirit has only grown deeper as she has grown, and it is that spirit that has inspired her to pursue a life of music. She knew from a young age that she had something to say, so she took advantage of her gift for singing and her freedom of speech and began to write her own music.
As the daughter of an oil painter, creativity and ingenuity came freely at home. Reciting poems in regional speech meets and taking creative writing classes at a young age later played a vital role as well. When the opportunity came to study voice performance in college and to continue that dream, it was a no-brainer. A move to Nashville afforded Lindsay the opportunity to study voice at Belmont University and Lipscomb University, during which she took full advantage of the opportunity to write songs of her own in practice rooms - even when she was supposed to be memorizing her recital arias.
