Zackari Parrish was an American police officer serving the Douglas County, Colorado Sheriff's office. ^{[1] [0]}

Parrish was married and had two children.

^{[1] [0]}Parrish left a job in banking to go into law enforcement. He had been a student of Arapahoe Community College Law Enforcement Academy where he graduated as vice president of his class. ^[1]

On Sunday, December 31, 2017, Officer Parrish and four other deputies were shot ambush style in a Denver suburb by Matthew Riehl. ^{[1] [0]}

Deputy Parrish was one five deputies who was shot while responding to a verbal disturbance call between Riehl and his roommate at around 5:15 a.m. at the Copper Canyon Apartments on the 3400 block County Line Road between Colorado and University Boulevards.

After being let in, and confronting Riehl, who had barricaded himself in a bedroom, Riehl fired immediately at them with a rifle. ^[1]
