Mateo Trimble (born June 16, 2001), better known by his stage name Tayo, is an American rapper and songwriter.

Career

Tayo became active in 2018 when he put out his first release, previously under the name Yvng Tayo.

As a former basketball player, Tayo was quite busy, but some injuries prevented him from pursuing sports as much as he aimed, so he had some more time to focus on music.

His sound is remarkably diverse, bridging the divide between genres as diverse as hip-hop, R&B, and even hints of pop to spice things up.
