Yultron (DJ)

Yultron (DJ)

Yultron is an artist, producer, and DJ based in Los Angeles, California. [6] As a musician, he has explored a wide range of genres ranging from indie-rock to hip-hop to EDM. [7]

Early Life

Yultron was born and raised in Los Angeles.

His parents are both Chinese with his father being born in Hong Kong and his mother being born in Taiwan. Both his parents were accountants. Since his youth, Yultron has always had a fascination with music. He played classical piano and violin as a child, but later taught himself how to play the guitar. Yultron has stated that he likes a vast array of genres (indie rock, hip-hop, EDM, etc.) and does not like to be boxed in. [3]

Career

Yultron attended the University of California, Riverside where he double-majored in political science and writing. Although he started his first band in his junior year of high school, Yultron did not take music seriously until college and started an indie rock band and would be part of that scene. After some time, he would pivot toward hip-hop. Yultron would gain traction as a rapper and would go on to collaborate with YG (rapper), Honey Cocaine, and John Park.

Yultron went to his rave in 2009, an trance show headlined by Armin van Buuren but it wasn't until 2012 that he started getting more exposure to the scene as his friends became DJs. He would eventually transition from rap to creating music as an electronic music producer. Yultron's production ranges from bass music to electro house to hardstyle. He has since toured with the likes of Marshmello, Getter, Snails, and Slushii as well as played at major festivals around the world.
