At the age of 12 years old, he began to save up his money and loan out to his brother and friends.
At around the same age, he also used to break information and infiltrate online games by hacking into accounts.
In between classes and bathroom breaks, he would go to the library to trade his penny stocks and do his e-trades in the schools library.
He also made deals with suppliers in Asia and brought back watches at extremely cheap rates and had sold them across the city for ridiculous margins.
He would also hack into school networks.
After getting suspended quite often, he opted to drop out.
He took the time to focus on the SEC EDGAR database which is a database by the Security and Exchange Commission that keeps record of all public company filings.
This allowed him to get better at learning about his stock portfolio.
As a teenager, bin Taleb also worked as the Product Manager intern at Intelligent Mechatronic Systems, where he worked for more than a year.
