YBN Glizzy (born October 29, 1998) is an American rapper, best known as part of the popular hip-hop collective ‘YBN’ ( Young Boss Niggaz ). The collective was founded by Nick Simmons, aka YBN Nahmir, and was later joined by Glizzy and 15 other members. His rapping group started online as a gaming crew that played games such as ‘Grand Theft Auto.’
He and his group released their first full-length project in September 2018.
Titled ‘YBN: The Mixtape,’ the project reached the 21st spot on the US charts and the 19th spot on the Canadian charts.
He is believed to be single, as there is no information about him dating anyone.
Early Life
YBN Glizzy was born on October 29, 1998, in Baltimore, MD, US. He is of African-American ethnicity. He has a sister. He was interested in rapping and hip-hop since childhood.
Career
YBN Glizzy started off his career as an online gamer and he was part of the original ‘XBOX Live’ squad. His hip-hop collective named ‘Young Boss Niggaz’ was originally founded by his close friend and rapper Nick Simmons, aka YBN Nahmir, in 2014. He met him on ‘San Andreas Roleplay’ for ‘Grand Theft Auto’ through ‘Xbox’ when he was looking for a group post.
YBN was originally founded as a gaming collective.
He and his other friends played and recorded gaming videos and then post those videos on ‘YouTube.’ They also streamed on ‘Twitch.tv’ before shifting their focus toward music and rapping.
He was featured by another ‘YBN’ member, YBN Almighty Jay, in the track "Off Instagram.” Currently, ‘YBN’ is a collective of rappers, social-media personalities, promoters, and record producers, with 18 members, including him. In July 2018, the group announced their first world tour, which was scheduled for the fall that year. On September 7, 2018, Glizzy, together with the group launched their first full-length project, ‘YBN: The Mixtape.’
He also owns a self-titled YouTube channel that he created in October 2014. The first video on this channel was posted on February 15, 2015. Titled ‘Ayo Glizzy - WORST SA-MP Player FT. Nahmir,’ it featured YBN Nahmir along with him. The second video, Titled ‘Nahmir #SoGoneChallenge [FreeStyle],’ was posted in August 2016. It featured YBN Nahmir again. The most famous video of his channel was ‘YBN Nahmir back again with another Freestyle!!! (EXCLUSIVE),’ uploaded on April 6, 2017. This video also featured YBN Nahmir. Though the channel was created almost 5 years ago, he still has less than 24 videos in the channel mainly because he has been busy with his rapping career.[14][15]
