Yang Qingpei is a 27-year-old from Yema, Yunnan Province, China. He has been described as socially awkward.

Murder Spree of Village

Yang and his parents got into a heated argument over his gambling debts.

In retaliation for them refusing, he murdered them and tried to cover it up by slaughtering his entire village. At the end of his spree, he killed 19 people total, including 4 minors. His oldest victim was a 72-year-old man and his youngest was a three-year-old girl.

He was arrested in the provincial capital of Kunming which is 200 km away from the scene of the crime.
