Yahir Vizueth Rubio was a Mexican man who died trying to save lives as a result of Hurricane Harvey. He is the younger brother of Benjamin Jimmy Vizueth.

Yahir was born and raised in the city of Chapulhuacán in Mexico. He was the youngest amongst his siblings. ^[1]

He also grew up and lived interchangeably in the city of Houston. ^[1]

On August 28th, 2017, amidst the floods in Houston caused by Hurricane Harvey, his brother Benjamin took his boat along with some of his cousins and brothers, to form a search party. They drove out to Northeast Houston.

As the day progressed and made several rescues, they came into Greens Bayou’s swift water near Wallisville Road and Normandy Street.

As this happened the boat drifted toward a utility pole, relatives reportedly said, and all the men jumped out of the boat.

Throughout Monday and Tuesday a search party was conducted near Normandy, Uvalde, Wallisville.

Benjamin's wife then took to Facebook to report about the matter and to also get the community in Houston to share as a way to raise awareness.

Benjamin and two others were found, but Yahir continued missing until he was finally confirmed dead.
