William 'Billy' Morris

William 'Billy' Morris III was a former elephant trainer for the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey. He resided in Riverview, Florida with his wife, Tina, and 3-year-old son, August. He has two other sons from a previous marriage.

Death

On October 31st, Morris took his son August out jet-skiing on the Alafia River and called his wife to let her know about his status. When his wife FaceTimed him back, August picked up the iPhone hysterically crying. A passerby saw the boy stranded on the Island 75 without his father and waited for the authorities to arrive.

Morris's body was found at 11:30 A.M.

Tuesday on the south bank of the river about a mile west of the island.

The cause of death it yet to be determined.
