Willard Shepard is an experienced interrogative reporter, Journalist, an attorney and a Gulf War fighter. Having over 20 years in investigative reporting, Willard gives report that always shows families how to protect their investments, home and partners. Being a member of the Florida Bar, he applied is legal skills and experience to develop investigations that uncover fraud in governments and private business. He has won the Emmy Award five times.
Education
Willard Shepard graduated cum laude from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor’of Science in Communications and Theater. He also went to the Florida International University College of Law with his area of specialization being Media and Aviation Legal Issues. Shepard is a finalist for white house fellowship program and also a graduate of the United States Air Force Officer Training School in Antonio.
Career
Wllard previously worked at WJW (TV) in Cleveland Ohio, as an anchor. During his years of service at WJW (TV) he anchored the morning news. He was also a special project reporters and one of his series, "The State of Black Cleveland", got him an Emmy Award. He was also honored by different bodies like Associated Press, Aviation and Space Writers Association and the United Press International.
At CBS 6, Willard currently work as an investigative reporter and also anchor the 5p.m.,
5:30 p.m. and weekends editions of NBC 6 News. He uses his military experience to guide his viewers in time of war on terror at home and abroad, and he is also known for giving the people the detailed information on what is going on at the federal, state and local levels to keep the country safe. He earned an Emmy Award for his impressive work on underwater anti-terror efforts to protect ports.
Asides reporting, He is a Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserve and his A-10 squadron was the first Air Force unit to go into combat. [1][14]
Personal Life
Willard gives himself to community projects as he is currently involved in the “5,000 Role Models” program, together with the Miami-Dade County Schools Boards to instill the students, values needed for success.
He his married to Tainna and the marriage is blessed with two kids.
