Alaleh Kianerci is a district attorney. She has been a prosecutor for the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s office since 2008.[9]

Brock Turner

In June 2016, Alaleh was in the news in the sexual assault case of Brock Turner after Judge Aaron Persky gave Turner only 6 months. Alaleh said the judge shouldn't discount Turner's crime because he had been drinking and because he comes from a good family and has a bright future.

"He was a good man," Kianerci said, "but good men commit very serious crimes all the time."

Kianerci believes Turner should, at the very least, get a full year in county jail.
